Company History

"As a manager, I spent my weekends reading through the copious notes taken by caseworkers who reported to me. With more than 500 clients at any given point, I had a lot of reading to do. It was challenging to analyze data by caseload and across caseworkers because case records were not stored in a format that could be easily searched, queried, or analyzed. I have to say, that Enlighten™ was inspired by many challenging weekends."

Company History

Dr. Abel Ekpunobi founded Measurematics on the notion that "you can't improve what you can't measure." He conceived Measurematics based on decades of work as a practitioner and researcher in the human services arena.

Dr. Ekpunobi's insights and experiences stem from his professional background. Within the past 16 years, he served as a criminal justice case manager, administrator, and consultant providing training and technical assistance to public and private agencies. He has also served as a researcher working to improve life outcomes for individuals, families and communities.

As a practitioner Dr. Ekpunobi realized that better program management tools would exponentially improve performance and accountability of human services programs. As a researcher he sought to improve the quality and security of program data, reduce the high cost of obtaining it, and shorten the time for receiving it.

Dr. Ekpunobi realized that the missing link between the 'science' and 'service' is the technology. He invested three years developing tools and resources that would bridge that gap and help both his practitioner and academic colleagues alike.
